Poker Addict: Pay Attention to the Following Points

Poker Addict: Pay Attention to the Following Points
Quite obvious there is a tremendous boom of this game in the twenty first century. From online to poker to hard core casino poker, you can see how people are glued to this once game. But to win the game and win it time and again, there are certain things that need to be kept in mind. The following ten tips will definitely boost your poker performance. These tips are not just for the beginners, but even seasonal players should keep it in mind.
• Fold more- this is the number one mistake done by beginners. They play too many hands. When you are new to the game you generally want to be a part of the game and play more. But playing more never means winning more. But on the other hand it may mean losing more.
• Never play drunk- I have seen players get plastered silly a number of times as they are under influence. When you are in a casino, do watch the amount of alcohol. Do not play under influence. You may feel that after two drinks you will be more relaxed, but you may end up losing a lot.
• Don't just bluff- I have observed people bluffing just for the sake of bluffing. Bluffing is no rule of the game and you need not bluff a certain amount every time you are playing. Many players even don't enjoy the amount of money they have won unless they have not bluffed their opponent. The golden rule for bluff is that it only works with certain people and in certain situations. Also it is better not to bluff, than to do it for the sake of it.
• Do not play when not in a god mood- playing poker just to escape your bad day is a very bad idea. As you would start emotionally and you wont end up winning for sure. Also while playing if you lose, don't get angry and put another bet. Instead, get calm and only then play further. Remember that the fellow players are observing you. They may watch you and sense the bad mood you are going through and take advantage of the same.
• Pay attention- pay attention to the cards on the table as well as to the players around you. In the beginning it may be a bit difficult while managing your own cards, but once you are an ace in the game, remember to be very attentive to everything around you. It is incredibly important. If you watch closely enough you can easily judge when a person is going to bluff and when one is going to raise in certain position.
So, you may be an amateur or an ace, remember, playing poker requires skill as well as a lot of carefulness.
